My First Art Show!

Customers going through my prints!
Customers going through my prints!

Last Saturday, I joined my first-ever arts and crafts show — and what a blast it was! I met new people and fellow creatives, made a few sales, and walked away with a notebook full of lessons.

I’ve always promised myself that if I ever started a business, I’d pour my whole heart and soul into building it, not just to succeed, but to grow through every misstep and small victory along the way.

Take last night, for example. I proudly showed up with my first-ever branded tarpaulin that I had designed myself. The only problem? I forgot to bring rope. With no way to secure it to my table, my lovely banner sat tucked away in its bag for the entire event. A rookie mistake — but one I’ll never make again. (I already bought G-clasps to fix that for next time!)

The beauty of this journey is that everyone in the pop-up community seems to share the same spirit of learning. Nearly every person I spoke to said the same encouraging thing:

“At least you started. We all start somewhere.”

That reminded me of one of the core lessons from my Life Coaching Certification Course: failure only happens when you stop trying. Everything else is a learning opportunity. When you embrace that truth, your mindset shifts— your self-image strengthens, and you find renewed motivation to keep showing up.

It amazes me how everything in my life — my art practice, coaching lessons, communications background, and the people God has placed in my path — is weaving together into something deeply meaningful. Something touched by His hands.

So today, I’m feeling thankful — for the opportunity to discover a passion, for the people cheering me on, and for every small step of progress.

Thank You, Lord, for the lessons in every detail. And thank you to everyone who’s been part of this unfolding story. Your support means more than you know.
